Baby Nina Newborn Session {Hollywood Newborn Photography}

A couple of weeks ago I did Vanessa's maternity session when she was 38 weeks - I almost thought she wouldn't make it! But baby girl hung on and we had a great shoot. We'd barely made it though - she was born less than a week afterwards! And I've been so looking forward to meeting her ever since! I usually like to photograph newborns within the first week of life, but Baby Nina caught a bad cold and we had to reschedule. Finally, last week I had the pleasure of photographing Baby Nina at 17 days new! She really is just the sweetest little thing! Look at all that hair!!!

Emmy is 6 Months! {Fort Lauderdale Baby's First Year Photography}

So hard to believe my little Emmy is 6 months old already! Here are a few shots I took this week of her and a few with Mila. Emmy always has that surprised look on her face! It's like she's saying, "Who? Me?" LOL! My sweet, silly little girls!

Cindy's Belly Painting Session {Fort Lauderdale Maternity Photography}

I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely lady's belly painting last week! Cassie Cooper was the amazing artist that created the belly painting. I love the beautiful scripture she chose for the painting, "For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb." Psalm 139.13

Cindy's Baby Shower {Fort Lauderdale Event Photography}

My sister Cindy is having her baby next month, so of course we planned an extra special baby shower in her honor! Her nursery is robot themed so I figured what better than to make the shower robot themed too?! I came up with a boyish color scheme (royal blue, turquoise and white with orange accents) that are similar to the nursery colors and used that as my base for the invitation. Everything else after that was a spin off from that design.

The invitation wording was specially selected to give guests a feel for the playful party I was planning. It starts off with, "Our circuits are overloaded with excitement for the arrival of the small human!" And the continues to describe the "mission" (to celebrate Baby Mini Cooper), the "launch" (for the date), the "coordinates" (address) and "affirmative" (rsvp info).

It was a no-brainer that the talented Catherine from Catherine Silva Designs (my sister and my BFF!) would make the cake. And no surprise - she blew me away with the replica robot from the invitation! Seriously, how cute is he??!

The cake had gears which was another element from the invitation design.

She also made the cupcakes with a little fondant screws on top - so perfect!!

All the wording for the dessert table was robot themed too: the banner reads "Mission Baby Shower" and the table is filled with "Sugar Cookie Gears," "Donut Doodads," "Cantaloupe Kilobytes" and "Cinnamon Springs."

The water was labeled "Liquid Hydrogen" and the Lemonade was "Rocket Fuel." (hahaha!)

The forks and knives were in a box labeled "Utensils Toolbox."

For the "Fueling Station" (LOL!) Cindy's mother-in-law made the delicious food - and she even contributed to the robot theme by arranging the food in a robot shape with legos!

Each table had a photo centerpiece of Cindy's maternity pictures that I took!
(That blog post will come soon!)

The guestbook was a robot with balloon cutouts for the guests to sign (again, just like the invitation!) and the sign reads "Greetings, small human!"

For the party favors, Cindy's sister-in-law, Laura, from HomeStyle Bath and Body created these custom gear shaped soaps that matched the party theme! They smelled so good!

The tag reads, "Mission Accomplished! Thank you for coming to Cindy's Baby Shower!"

Here are a few pictures from the party! Here's the mommy-to-be!

Below, Laura from HomeStyle Bath and Body with her adorable little girl, Alexia!

Below, Catherine from Catherine Silva Designs with her amazing cake!

A rare photo of me with Cindy and Catherine!

Would you believe that Catherine not only does cake designs, but she creates artwork as well? Cindy sent her some ideas for an art piece she wanted for the nursery and Cathy brought it to life! This woman is unbelievable!
